About the Author
Born in 1796 in Windsor, lawyer Thomas Chandler Haliburton, was one of the first Canadian authors. A longtime member of Parliment, some critics have regarded him as the last of the exponents of Tory principles and this book certainly asserts this notion.

I'm not sure what this is

I'm not sure what this is, but it appears to be some sort of poem and I'm guessing that pictures may play a key role in understanding what is going on (the pictures aren't included) or that text is missing. As it is, it's very difficult to understand.
