About the Author
Ron Hall is an international art dealer whose long list of regular clients includes many celebrity personalities. An MBA graduate of Texas Christian University, he divides his time between Dallas, New York, and his Brazos River ranch near Fort Worth.
Denver Moore served as a volunteer at the Fort Worth Union Gospel Mission until his death in March 2012.

The Same Kind of Different as Me
Same Kind of Different as Me, a book that is factual, but could just as easily be fiction. It tells the unlikely story of the unlikeliest of friends, Ron Hall and Denver Moore. Told in two voices, this true story alternates between the lives of Ron and Denver, told from their perspective. Ron Hall is a wealthy international art dealer, who has grown rich, but has also grown selfish and has grown away from his family. When Ron reluctantly volunteers at a homeless shelter, at the insistence of his wife, he soon comes into contact with Denver, a man his wife is convinced is going to change the city.
Denver grew up as a sharecropper in Louisiana, living a life that seemed little different from his ancestors hundreds of years before. He eventually walked away from the fields and found that, while life on the streets was difficult, it was easier than being a sharecropper. It was here, in a homeless shelter that the two men met. They become fast friends who endure a tragedy together and who grow in their love and respect for each other. Each man teaches the other about life and faith. The story offers a glimpse into two worlds that are nearly opposite and shows what happens when these worlds collide. Same kind of different as Me is a message of true friendship and faith. It is a book I would recommend to anyone who is interested in a completing and true story about friendship and what exactly it holds. Specifically I would suggest it to someone interested in hearing a moving faith story. Same Kind of Different as Me is stirring and unforgettable story, and was a pure joy to read. It caught me by surprise and I enjoyed every minute of it.

A wonderful true story

I love true stories. I love stories of overcoming, of friendship, of truth. This is such a story written by an uneducated man who became more than he dreamed of because of 2 people who went into the world to serve others.

One of the best books this year

This book was great. The truth of it really came home to me. We judge people by their outward apppearence even if we don't mean to. This was a fabulous example of what we can do to change this situation.
